The Challenge coins are a custom design featuring the CivPol Shield ringed by the CivPol Name and our motto "I Am My Brothers Keeper, No Matter How Far Away." The reverse of the coin features a raised outline of the globe, symbolizing our worldwide service. The scales of justice, representing our duty to the Rule of Law.

The CivPol Alumni Association Board of Directors have created the "Coins For Kids" program. The goal of this progam is to provide scholarship support for higher education to the children of those killed in action.

Families of law enforcement Officers killed in the line of duty in the United States receive benefits from the Public Safety Officers Benefits Act . One of those benefits is scholarship support for their children. Our KIA's are not yet recognized as line of duty deaths, so they are not eligible for this benefit. The Board has therefore initiated this program to try and assist the families in overcoming the expensive cost of sending a child to college.
